Thomas Walker is a Cinematographer and Camera Operator based in Western Canada, working across narrative film, music video, and commercial production. He came up through the camera department, working as a camera assistant on major productions including Deadpool, Planet of the Apes, and Riverdale, rising through the ranks while learning from top-tier crews before moving into operating and cinematography. That technically versatile approach to image-making carries from behind the camera through post, and extends into the tools he shoots with. He designs and 3D prints custom camera components and rigging to solve problems on set and achieve shots that off-the-shelf gear can’t, work that earned him the FPAW (Focus Puller At Work) Design Award. His work is defined by strong composition, deliberate lighting, and fluid camera movement in service of story, visuals built to support character and narrative rather than call attention to themselves. His projects have earned festival recognition, including official selections and nominations at events such as the Illawarra Film Festival. Whether shooting a scripted short, a music video, or a commercial spot, Thomas brings the same eye for craft, problem-solving, and collaborative instinct to every set.
